Events as a Strategic Tool for Businesses

Madrid, May 2026

Events make an impact on CEOs when their value is explained through metrics and measurable business outcomes. This was one of the key points of the debate: the relationship between events and senior management. Today, the real challenge lies in measuring events using indicators that companies can understand (KPIs). Without this common language, events will continue to be perceived by some as an expense.

At RPA Comunicación, we work to ensure that events are understood for what they truly are: strategic communication tools. That is why we gathered at #TheKevents alongside leading professionals from the industry to discuss the essential work of creative directors, sustainability, and production models focused on measurable results. We raised questions such as: what value do events bring to businesses today, and how much of that value is real and measurable?

The session, organized by The Kollective, took place at the La Salle venue of Grupo Eneldo. The participation of Beatriz Oriol, our executive managing partner, in the roundtable discussion “The Event Within the Value Chain (and Why the CEO Should Care)” was especially significant.

As agencies, we agreed on the need to evolve towards a partnership model with clients, moving beyond the vendor role we currently fulfill. This would be the most effective way to align each event with real business objectives, both in the short and long term.

Events are powerful communication and marketing tools that help build both brands and business; therefore, the future lies in creating more integrated and measurable events. A well-designed event can leave a more powerful and lasting impression than an advertising campaign.
