What will change in corporate events this autumn?

2026

Personalise your event and engage all five senses

The bell has rung: it’s back-to-school season! September is here, bringing its usual flurry of challenges and the start of a golden period for corporate events, from product launches and conventions to conferences and more.

Want to discover the five changes set to shape event production this season? Read on for everything you need to stay ahead over the coming months.

1. Spaces that transform during the event

One approach that has gained momentum in recent months is creating several completely different spaces within the same venue. This allows us to reallocate part of the budget to brand activations, décor or activities, while creating distinct experiences in a single location.

It also means carefully managing the flow of guests, using solutions such as color-coded wristbands or dividing attendees into teams.

This approach requires precise set-ups and extremely well-coordinated logistics, but the results are worth it.

2.Seamlessly integrated technology

Screens, lighting, AI… the present is digital. Technology is now a must-have. Beyond its practical uses, it continues to create an atmosphere of expertise, innovation and cutting-edge thinking.

And although it may seem increasingly difficult to surprise an audience, new technologies emerge every day, giving event planners fresh opportunities to leave guests speechless.

How about an infinite immersive screen that interacts with the audience in real time?

3.Sensory event design

Feel it, remember it. Emotion is one of the most powerful tools a brand can use to leave a lasting impression on its guests, and this autumn is the perfect opportunity to take that connection to the next level.

The latest lighting technology, immersive sound, a balanced color palette and the perfect temperature can all help create an unforgettable event experience. It’s time to engage your guests’ senses 😉

 4.Sustainability

We’re confident that most of us have already passed the first sustainability test: removing single-use plastics from events. Now it’s time to aim even higher.

Producing materials that can be reused across different events, optimising transport and choosing digital solutions are just some of the ways forward.

Through AEVEA (Agencias de Eventos Españolas Asociadas), we have launched the #SostenibilidadenAcción initiative to promote greener practices, circular economy principles and social responsibility across Spain’s event industry.

We have three key objectives:

  1. Reduce emissions: lower our carbon footprint and optimise the use of energy and resources.
  2. Promote a circular economy: reuse materials, minimise waste and manage surplus resources responsibly.
  3. Create a shared framework: provide practical tools, meaningful metrics and mutual support for member agencies.
You can read AEVEA’s sustainability manifesto here.

5.Greater Authenticity

It may sound like a cliché, but it reflects a genuine shift in corporate event planning. There is no need to fill a venue with activities and brand activations simply for the sake of it. What matters is communicating your brand’s purpose with warmth and authenticity, two of the most powerful tools for generating engagement, and they are free.

Invest in meaningful, emotionally engaging storytelling and you won’t go wrong. That’s all from our event trends radar for now. Follow us to stay up to date and remember: personalize your event as much as possible, work with modular spaces, engage all five of your guests’ senses and think carefully about how many lives every item you purchase could have.
