5 keys at the AEVEA Awards.

2026

Five keys from Beatriz Oriol, to present a winning candidacy capable of standing out among hundreds of projects in the AEVEA Awards.

Madrid, February 2026

Applying for an award in the corporate events sector requires as much care as producing the event itself. At the AEVEA Awards 2026, one of the most important recognitions in the MICE sector in Spain, Beatriz Oriol, executive managing partner of RPA Comunicación, a corporate events agency in Madrid, was part of the jury and shares her insider perspective: what a jury really values and what distinguishes an submission that advances from one that falls behind.
“To stand out at the AEVEA Awards, it is not enough to have a good project; it is essential to know how to present it with clarity and strategy,” Beatriz concludes with conviction.

1. Meet the category requirements in detail

The first key is as simple as it is decisive, it may seem obvious, but it is not. Every edition of event organization awards leaves out great projects for not properly adhering to the established criteria. Reading, understanding, and following the rules is one of the aspects most valued by any jury in corporate event and brand experience awards.

2. Respect the time limit (and keep it concise)

Stick to the time limit—and if anything, keep it shorter. Although the format allows up to three minutes, the jury reviews dozens of applications. In MICE sector awards, the ability to be concise is key: in two minutes you can convey what is necessary if the message is well structured. Prioritize what is important and adapt the content to the award category.

3. Focus on the judging criteria

It’s not about covering every detail of the corporate event, but about focusing on what is being evaluated. Impact, creativity, strategy, results, and alignment with the client’s objectives are usually the main axes. Clarity, focus, and relevance are your best allies for building a strong application for the AEVEA Awards.

4. Size isn’t everything

In the events and experiential marketing industry, a small project, well planned and aligned with the criteria, can stand out more than a large-scale production. What really matters is the strategic fit, consistency, and the ability to generate real impact.

5. Think like the jury

The fifth piece of advice is perhaps the most strategic: think like the jury. Your application competes with hundreds of proposals from event agencies across Spain. You need to build an attractive, distinctive, and easy-to-remember story. In awards like the AEVEA Awards, differentiation is decisive. The story must remain in the jury’s memory and clearly convey why that project deserves to win.
With these five keys, your candidacy competes with intention and consistency. Because when a good corporate event project is presented with strategy, the chances of standing out at the AEVEA Awards increase significantly.

As in RPA Comunicación we know well what this recognition means, here’s our finalist project at the AEVEA Awards 2026: Armani Mare x RPA communication.
