Around twenty event agencies, representing approximately 25% of AEVEA (Spanish Associated Event Agencies) members, have refused in the past two years to participate in tenders that exceeded the Association’s recommended limit of five participants. This decision, the result of a joint strategy among members, reflects a collective commitment to fairer and more sustainable working conditions.
“These decisions are not easy, but they are the ones that build the sector,” explains Mariano Rodríguez, president of AEVEA.
In several of these processes, the coordinated withdrawal of agencies prompted conversations with organizers that led to revisions of the initial conditions.
“What’s happening is an important step,” concludes Rodríguez. “For the first time, a significant number of agencies are aligned around shared principles. This not only improves our relationship with clients, it also raises the industry standard and sets a path that benefits everyone.”
